Everyone Is Excited About
Century on Fraser Street
Real estate blogger Trevor Scott commented:
I am so excited for this Ledingham McAllister project Century. I live three blocks away and I think it is the first step in the gentrification of Fraser in the strip between 22nd and 33rd. The soon-to-be-open presentation centre is the nicest building on the strip and will hopefully show landlords that high quality tenants can be in the area. The block of Fraser between King Edward and 29th has so much potential. The sidewalks have good setback, and the blocks are lined with trees creating a village-style shopping strip. Century is one of the largest master planned communities in Vancouver and another example of the city growing east.
The local design community was inspired by Century as well. Diana Sly Interior Design Instructor in the Display and Design Department at Langara College was very impressed with the changes it brought to the block:
I have been delightedly observing the amazing transformation of the humble building your company has designated as its Presentation Centre. Based on the visual impact of this building, I can see that the entire development will be very pioneering, and a tremendous asset to the neighbourhood.
Now, with Century’s Phase 1 building set to be move-in ready this summer, we’re hearing even more good news about Century’s positive impact on the overall revitalization of the area.
Katherine Reynolds of the recently opened Outpost Café on 24th and Fraser Street is in love with the neighbourhood. The Vancouver Sun’s food critic Mia Stainsby has marked Fraser Street as a street to watch.
Naturally, we are very excited about Century. So it is very gratifying to get a response like this, and a vote of confidence in the quality and potential of this project.
If you have not had a chance to stop by the Sales Centre, please feel free to come by and take a look. We are proud of what we are building here but it is ultimately for Vancouver, and the future of this neighbourhood. We hope you see the great potential here, too.
