The neighbourhood around Fraser and 30th is in a great location, very central to all of Vancouver. It has character, texture, and a unique, global feel as well as a storied Vancouver history.

But residents of this neighbourhood will be the first to tell you that this corner needs something namely, quality grocers, services, and retail. Knowing this, Ledingham McAllister conceived Century, a collection of low-rise homes and townhomes that is already changing this neighbourhood for the better.

Century is helping to bring new shops and amenities to this neighbourhood. Residents of Century will only have to pop downstairs or walk around the corner for a variety of brand new retail outlets and key services.

No Frills, located directly downstairs, will offer a vast selection of President’s Choice products, amidst a complete, full service grocery store. There will also be a convenient Starbucks for that morning cup of brew and a Shopper’s Drug Mart for life’s little necessities.

Evidently, we are not the only people who have seen great potential in this neighbourhood.

Main Street’s Beehive Hair Lounge made the move from Main to Fraser Street in the fall, and Marche St. George, a boutique grocery store, just opened at 28th and Fraser. November 2010 also saw the opening of The Outpost Café, a couple of blocks north of Century.

Clearly, residents of Century are right on the crest of a big revitalization for a classic Vancouver neighbourhood.
