Celebrate Family Day in Your Own Family Way
Your version of a family gathering may be a wholesome day at the park with the kids, or maybe it’s sitting in pyjamas with your partner cat and dog consuming a whole season on Netflix without judgement (ok, maybe the cat is a little judgy) – but whatever the definition of family is for you, celebrate it this Monday, February 9th for BC’s Family Day.
There are countless events happening in the Lower Mainland this Monday and many of them are free of charge or by donation. Gather the kids and head to New West for Fraser River Discovery Centre’s free activity day or get crafty and creative at the Richmond Children’s Art Festival – just keep them away from the glitter, you’ll have that in your hair for a month!
If you are celebrating in Vancouver grab your dog, your friend, your sister or whomever you consider ‘family’ and trek around the Sea Wall or strap on some skates and head to Robson Square for free skating all day.
